Major Taylor Project - Bike Club

What is the MTP Bike Club?
The Major Taylor Project (MTP) is a year-round cycling program produced by Cascade Bicycle Club, integrating bicycling, healthy living, bike maintenance, road safety awareness, and the importance of working toward individual goals.
Named after African-American world champion cyclist Marshall "Major" Taylor, the Major Taylor Project (MTP) empowers youth through bicycling. In after-school bicycling clubs MTP students explore their communities, build confidence and leadership skills, and discover their power to effect change.
The Major Taylor Project is funded with a grant from WSDOT and is administered by Cascade Bicycle Club. The funding comes from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA). The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
