First Creek Middle School provides empowered learning opportunities for our students and community. We help students recognize their fullest potential through inclusive practices.
We support students as they transition from elementary school with two core teachers and longer class times. This promotes strong relationships between students and teachers in a supportive and nurturing environment. By eighth grade, students are in a more traditional middle school class model preparing them for their high school transition.
Additionally, community partner organizations provide wrap-around services onsite to help students and their families. The goal is to remove obstacles to student achievement while providing a central point for services. This includes counseling for mental health and drug and alcohol issues, parent support groups, staff-student mentor groups, college preparatory programs and several youth enrichment clubs. This blend of academic rigor and family support helps students develop the academic skills and character traits to become college-and-career-ready
Student Life
Named after African-American world champion cyclist Marshall "Major" Taylor, the Major Taylor Project (MTP) empowers youth through bicycling.
We offer band and percussion, choir, and marching band at First Creek.
Thanks to community partnerships, middle school students have access to more opportunities and activities than ever before.
